The hotel was very close to the Xunantunich Mayan ruins and the local airport. I was offered a room with beautiful views of the garden. The shower and bath sheets were a plus.

The property's location was great and beautiful, in the Cayo district. It was also near the Maya mountains with a conveninent base to go cave tubing...

Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of being there, would recommend. I had 3 nights in Cool Shade, spending the time here lovely. Air-conditioned and spotless room with a beautiful view of the grounds, friendly staff — everything was good.

The location is a bit remote, allowing for a true immersion in nature.

The drive up to the resort can be bumpy, so it's best to have a higher clearance vehicle.

We had a wonderful stay at Gumbo Limbo Jungle Resort. The huts were clean and comfortable, and the setting was absolutely beautiful. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds in the morning. Steve, the owner, was incredibly helpful and organized fantastic excursions for us. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere. The location was remote, but Steve provided shuttle rides to all our excursions. We can't wait to visit again!
